Horrible parts. I've never had so many parts fail, one after another after fixing up my truck. And on two different occasions they attempted to s
...ell me returned/used parts. The only reason I go there is to get my money back on the parts that fail before I go buy them somewhere else. Keep your receipts, you WILL NEED them because the garbage they sell WILL FAIL!
UPDATE!
I was just offered 5 "bonus points", yay... To update this review. Okay, I will. I do go to O'Reilly's for brake cleaner and other cheap stuff that doesn't matter where you buy it from and/or take a large effort to remove/replace. I will say the staffing/hiring since my first review has had a dramatic improvement and they are always competent and knowledgeable. I will NEVER buy their brand name parts though. If they have a better price on, ie.; an AC Delco (do they even carry Delco?), Dorman, etc. part I need, then I will get it there. I stick to GM, so I can't speak for their brand made for other makes, but one has to assume that low quality (if any at all) runs across the board. Maybe they have massively upgraded the quality of the parts they market exclusively, but I don't care to find out the hard way. In my opinion they still owe me roughly $2500 spent in multiple major part failures. If they cut me a check and write me a guarantee on more than the part, say for my time, other tools and whatnot, and sometimes the mechanic bill when I don't have time, and then the next mechanic bill follow that (because unfortunately most mechanics shops use their parts to save money), then I might consider trying out their line of parts again. But I will not risk the high rate of failure I've experienced time and time again anymore, and I would suggest that you do not either, instead pay the extra $10 at a more reputable parts store and save yourself a lot more in fitment/install, removal and reinstall time + materials as well as mechanic bills when it goes catastrophic on you. I'm adding one star for the improvement on employees they hire. Since I didn't have the option to give them 0 stars on my first review it will stay at 1 star, and at least be accurate to my personal experiences as whole that I am reviewing again.
To O'reilly's: If this isn't what you had in mind by offering 5 bonus points to update my review, feel free to keep them.
Updated Update:
Still up in the air about the quality of the parts as I'm just getting what I need when they're not available elsewhere and I need them ASAP. But I have to say that the highly knowledgeable young lady that assisted me with figuring out the problem I ran into so quickly, like in under 2 minutes, was the most refreshing experience I've had at a parts store in, well, lets just say ever. Having a knowledgeable, professional, and highly assertive associate helping customers is the most important asset that a parts store can have, even more important than working parts, because they can be returned, but the exceptional experience of prompt and impeccable service and help resolving an issue with your vehicle will stay with you for a very long time.
