Recognition for Outstanding Customer Service – Taylor at Store #3943
Dear O’Reilly Auto Parts Leadership Team,
I would like to formally recognize Taylor at Store #3943 located at 1764 Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC for delivering one of the best customer service experiences I have encountered in the automotive retail industry.
As a Senior Executive who has spent the last 30 years leading Customer Experience organizations for major well-known brands, I have a deep appreciation for what world-class service truly looks like. Taylor exemplified it in every aspect of my recent experience.
I found myself in a difficult situation involving my Audi A5 and a completely dead battery over Memorial Day weekend. After contacting multiple businesses, I was repeatedly told that no one could assist because they would not perform battery replacements or programming support on foreign vehicles. My son, who lives in Charleston, was unable to return due to the holiday weekend, and most local repair facilities were closed.
When I called your store and explained the situation, Taylor immediately demonstrated empathy, professionalism, accountability, and a true customer-first mindset. Rather than dismissing the challenge, he assured me that he would personally help and make sure I was taken care of.
When I arrived at the store, Taylor was actually on his break, yet he did not hesitate to step away and assist me immediately. He helped identify the correct battery and personally completed the installation. As you may know, the battery on an Audi A5 is located in the trunk and requires significant effort to remove brackets and components for replacement. Taylor remained patient, determined, and solution-oriented throughout the entire process. His persistence and commitment to ensuring the job was completed correctly were extremely impressive.
What stood out most was his attitude and approach. Taylor was positive, engaging, easy to communicate with, and fully committed to creating a great customer experience from start to finish. It was clear that he genuinely cared about helping me rather than simply completing a transaction.
Even after resolving the battery issue, I decided to purchase new windshield wipers and an air filter while I was there. Without hesitation, Taylor once again came outside and ensured everything was installed properly.

Wonderful service from David! He was not only able to change my headlight bulbs quickly, but he was willing to show me how I can do it myself next time. I had planned on doing it myself in the first place, but I’m glad I was able to watch him do it first.

My car died the night before a snow storm hit, and a stranger helped me jump start the battery and recommended that I get my battery tested for free at an Oreilly’s nearby (I didn’t know that was possible!). Taylor tested my battery, replaced it for free with the battery I bought from the store, and also helped me replace my key fob battery that was running low. I wouldn’t have known what to do or where to go under such short notice if it wasn’t for y’all’s help! Thank you so much for your kindness and helpful service!!

Oh my gosh! They were absolutely wonderful. I needed two new headlight bulbs. Chip helped me find the cheapest option and installed them for me and on Christmas Eve, no less! I can't thank y'all enough!
