So as of yesterday and the years prior, I had chosen Autozone as my parts supplier. This was partly due to the better way they handle their rewards program, and partly due to the fact that not all OReilly locations will accept my used oil.
HOWEVER, I just switched teams for several reasons but ABSOLUTELY primarily because of Kelsey, who I want to think is either the manager or the future manager of the 445 Blossom Hill location. She is the best. I would vote for her, I would follow her into battle, I would adopt her, I would marry her. I had no idea that someone like that would be an employee for an OReilly Auto Parts. I certainly hope thay know what they have there.
. I just replaced the valve cover gasket, power steering pump, and AC complressor on my daughter's 2000 Honda Accord and I returned the old compressor for the measly $10 core deposit only to realize the next day that there were some critical parts still attached to it. I was truly resigned to the fact that it was unrecoverable but I needed some refrigerant anyway so I went to the same location I went ahead and asked if the woman that had helped me return the core was working.
She was, and her name is Kelsey. She remembered me. I felt foolish even asking if the core I returned was anywhere we could access. She didn't even try to blow me off like ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE AT ANY OTHER BUSINESS surely would have. She looked me in the eye and said "Yeah, its on the pallet"! She gave me the impression that the pallet was being loaded onto a truck for Goneforeverland by a forklift as we spoke... She told me to sit tight while she finished helping her current customer and moments after he left, she emerged with the compressor, intact, with my critical components still FIRMLY attached.
She immediately requisitioned an allen wrench set, identified and correct size, and handed it over to me to save my parts. However, I am recovering from a broken wrist and had no chance of getting this thing off, its is LOCKED on.
Keep in mind that Kelsey is a fine looking, put together woman, with emaculate nails from an expensive nail salon and she is clean and clearly spent more than a few minutes getting ready that morning. But she grabs another great employee named, John, and they work together to finally crack it loose, after no small effort, and celebrate with me, covered in grease, and totally happy about their efforts.
What a team, what a location! I don't know what else to say, but Kelsey needs to be promoted or stolen or something and I have no doubt she will be any minute. But untill then, I highly recommend this location.
