Well, Sandra, Tony, Carlos, Wayne, Erik, Darin, all you guys who make that Store work. Good job! O’Reillys on the corner of Prater and Rock is my
... go to Store. For some reason, even though the other stores are about the same size The Rock store always seems to have my parts.
And if they don’t, they can always get it from the hub within an hour, or definitely the next day. If I’m in a hurry, I could drive down to the south end of town and pick it up right away. I have an old truck, a 1994 four-wheel-drive, and boy it needs a lot of work.
Before I even bought it, I had to get a new battery. The gas cap wasn’t proper and the former owner had to get a new gas cap before it could pass smog. I knew most of everything that was wrong with it and the first thing I had to fix was a muffler.
It was shot out. I mean, it looked like it was shot out with a shotgun. Well, by the time I’m done I’ll probably spend more money in parts than what I spent on the truck when I bought it. Thanks John, now you’re in Vegas, you dog!
Well, I’m kind of like most of the people who go to O’Reillys, hard-working and trying to get your stuff fixed. Of course there’s a lot of full-time mechanics going in there and picking up parts for their customers as well.
There’s a thing with buying parts from the Internet, instead of getting them from the local parts store. Price matching is good and well, but there’s no price matching on Internet auto parts, just other brick and mortar stores qualify for price matching. So, we can save a few bucks Online, if you don’t mind waiting, well, good luck!
But you never know what you’re gonna get when you order online, however, when you can go down to the store in person and see and touch and hold the part compared to what you need, that means a lot less headaches.
My particular year model and make, is very common as parts match across a number of vehicles, brands and models. But for some reason, no matter what, the parts catalogs which are now Computer databases, are nothing but a nightmare.
As I was a mechanic many years ago, the old saying was if you really wanna get things done, you have to have a parts man you can depend on! If a mechanic doesn’t have the parts he needs he can’t do diddly squat. So thank you guys and gals down at the O, O, O, O’Reillys! You get it right most of the time and when you don’t you fix it.
