I highly recommend this if you are not skilled in the auto repair department. There are some wonderful folks here who will help use tools to diagnose problems in your vehicle. Especially when those lights go on! They also installed my windshield wipers and help my daughter with a battery problem

On July 31, 2025, at approximately 8:18 PM, I returned to the O’Reilly Auto Parts location at 4121 Genesee Avenue to exchange an engine air filter I had previously purchased for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The filter turned out to be the wrong size because I had accidentally given the incorrect vehicle model.
Oscar was helping me with the exchange and worked diligently to locate the correct part at another O’Reilly location, as it was not available in stock at this store. While assisting me, a rush of customers came into the store, and a line quickly formed with four other customers besides myself. Despite the busy environment and increasing pressure, Oscar remained calm, professional, and courteous, continuing to help me and another customer who had specifically requested his assistance.
At approximately 8:25 PM, Assistant Store Manager Michael approached and, in front of me and the four other customers, said to Oscar, “What’s taking you so long?” Oscar politely explained that he was searching for the correct store and address for me to pick up the part. Michael then interrupted with, “Can’t you see there’s a line of customers?”
As someone who works in a supervisory role myself, I found Michael’s conduct to be unprofessional and inappropriate. His tone and delivery were aggressive and demeaning, especially given that it occurred in front of multiple customers. It created an uncomfortable situation, and I felt genuinely embarrassed for Oscar.
This exchange came across as unnecessarily harsh and demeaning. It embarrassed the employee in front of multiple customers and reflected poorly on Michael’s leadership. Based on what I witnessed, I believe Michael may need additional training in communication and customer-facing professionalism. At this time, he may not be fully prepared for the responsibilities that come with a management role.
Despite being spoken to in that manner, Oscar maintained his composure and professionalism. He continued assisting customers with patience and respect. I want to formally recognize Oscar for his outstanding customer service and grace under pressure. He is a valuable member of your team and deserves recognition for his professionalism, dedication, and respectful approach—even in a difficult moment.

Ps don’t go to auto zone down the street. Kids in there aren’t even knowledgeable about car parts
